Measuring Guide

When deciding on some new furniture for a room, there are a couple of factor that should be thought about first. Along with style, colour, timber content, size should be a big consideration.

You should start by noting the following measurement, width, height and depth, sometime it help to make a rough sketch of the piece to get these clear in your mind.

Next make careful measurements of the destined area for the piece of furniture. The selected area may be smaller or larger than you think, meaning you may have to order a different size item. If the size is not quite right give us a call and we may be able to suggest a similar product that have the right dimensions for you.

Check access to your home

Before ordering you should check the access to the desired point all the way from the first entry point.

Please measure all door/entryways and check against the items dimensions. Please be especially careful of banisters, radiators, lighting, low ceilings, narrow hallways, and pictures.

If it was easy to get your current furniture in, check the dimensions of this and compare to the new furniture.

If the first route that you check is going to be too tight, please check for any other route.

Our delivery crews often use 7.5 tonne lorries (about the same size as a rubbish lorry), if we are going to have trouble getting the lorry near to your house, please let us know at time of order or when we call to arrange a delivery.
